Boeing 787s at Sky Harbor Boeing 787-8 N787BX was the first 787 to visit Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. It arrived from Mexico City on Friday, March 9, 2012 and departed for San Diego on Monday, March 12, 2012. On February 23, 2015 American Boeing 787-823 N800AN started flying route proving flights to St Louis, Chicago O'Hare, and Phoenix Sky Harbor. American Boeing 787-823 N800AN started flying route proving flights to Phoenix Sky Harbor in March 2015. United Boeing 787-9 N27959 and All Nippon Airways Boeing 787-9 JA837A have flown baseball team charters to Phoenix Sky Harbor. American Airlines and British Airways currently fly Boeing 787s to Phoenix Sky Harbor on a daily basis.

November 11, 2011: Boeing 787-83Q N787ZA at Phoeinx-Mesa Gateway Airport

Boeing 787-8 N787ZA, Mesa-Gateway, November 11, 2011 The sixth Boeing 787-8 prototype N787ZA arrived at Mesa Gateway Airport as Boeing Flight 006 from Great Falls International Airport, Montana at 1:33 PM on Friday, November 11, 2011. It departed for Boeing Field 54 minutes later.

May 23, 2010: Boeing 787 at Phoeinx-Mesa Gateway Airport

Boeing 787-8 N7874, Mesa-Gateway The fourth Boeing 787-8 prototype N7874 arrived at Mesa Gateway Airport for hot weather testing on Saturday, May 22, 2010, an ironically cool day in Arizona. Its construction number is 40693. This marked the first visit of a 787 to Arizona. It did not reach the minimum test temperature of 83 degrees, so the 787 did not perform the hot weather test on Sunday, May 23.
